ALL ABOUT JESUS
What We Believe
At St. Monica Catholic Church in Kitengela, our faith is the foundation of all that we do. We are a vibrant community dedicated to living out the teachings of Christ and embracing the values that guide our journey.
Faith in God
We believe in one God, who is the Creator of all things, and who is revealed to us through the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Our faith in God is the cornerstone of our lives and the source of our hope and strength.
The Teachings of Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is the central figure of our faith. We hold fast to His teachings, which call us to love one another, to seek justice, and to live lives of compassion and humility. His life and sacrifice inspire us to follow His example and share His message of salvation.
The Sacraments
We believe that the sacraments are a vital means of grace and a way to encounter God’s presence in our lives. The seven sacraments—Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Penance, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Matrimony—nourish our faith and strengthen our relationship with God.
THE CHURCH
We are a church that believes in Jesus & loves God and people
At St. Monica Catholic Church, we are a community deeply rooted in faith and driven by a profound love for God and all people. Here’s what defines us:
1. Faith in Jesus Christ: Our church is founded on the belief that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. We embrace His teachings and strive to follow His example of love, grace, and truth. Through His life, death, and resurrection, we find our ultimate purpose and hope.
2. Love for God: We are dedicated to loving God with all our heart, soul, and mind. This love is expressed through our worship, prayer, and commitment to living out His commandments. Our relationship with God is the center of our faith and guides every aspect of our lives.
3. Love for People: We believe that loving our neighbors is a fundamental aspect of our faith. We are committed to serving and supporting one another and reaching out to those in need within our community. Our mission is to be a beacon of hope, kindness, and compassion.
4. A Welcoming Community: Our church is a place where everyone is welcomed with open arms, regardless of background or circumstance. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where all can experience the love of Christ.
5. Commitment to Service: We actively engage in outreach and service initiatives to address the needs of those who are marginalized, oppressed, or struggling. Our goal is to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals and families, reflecting the love and mercy of God.
6. Living the Gospel: We strive to live out the message of the Gospel in our daily lives. This means seeking justice, showing kindness, and living with integrity. Our actions are guided by the teachings of Jesus, aiming to reflect His love and truth in all that we do.
At St. Monica Catholic Church, our faith in Jesus and our love for God and people form the foundation of our community. We invite you to join us in this journey of faith, as we seek to grow closer to God and to make a meaningful impact in the world around us.
